AT Garden Spaces
A Little Background
Tight space, tight access , body corporate and council regulations. Sounds like a tough project? Well this project was anything but…
From the moment we spoke to Peter and Jeanette, we knew instantly this was going to be an amazing micro ecosystem we were embarking on with them.
The entire area was a total of 40 square meters, which is smaller than most front yard gardens. Fortunately for us our clients had a very clear idea of what they ultimately wanted to achieve, which made our job of creating that for them so much easier.
It’s incredible what you can achieve in such a small space, that inevitably will create an ecosystem that helps bridge the divide between nature and human civilisation.
This backyard garden did just that. Small, unique and fundamentally a safe haven for beneficial insects, some native fish and their three legged adopted ginger cat “Buster”.
The introduction and use of raw materials from Iron Bark sleepers, sawn bluestone steppers, rusted weathering steel, sandstone rocks and topping, everything flowed beautifully!
With the mix of indigenous, endemic and Australian Native plant species this truly was a stunning back yard.
This project was one of our first “hands on” collaborations with the client. Labour was invested from both us and Peter, each one just as excited as the other to build such a beautiful space.
We loved working with the clients in such a connective manner that it would eventually lead to us wanting to do more projects just like this, hand in hand.
