A Little Background

Tracey and Paul reached out in need of creating a space that was as equally interactive for their young family, connective to the natural environment and created a sanctuary for all that visited.

With their pre purchased cubby house playground to be eloquently installed into the garden, we set about designing a garden that flowed with elements.

A wondering path with integrated large rocks for exploring, whilst leading to further permeable topped areas to lead to the produce space allowed the area to attend to all needs.

The garden beds were filled with much loved Australian Natives, categorising species not only into micro climates but child resilient areas. With those tougher species planted closer to and around the cubby house.

We also wanted to make sure the entire garden area was safe for the little ones. We finished the gardens off with soft fall mulch and ensured none of the plants had any nasty spikes or prickles. We went one step further to move any with possible skin irritant foliage in areas of the garden that weren’t easily accessible by simply walking by.

The overall result was a garden the entire family could enjoy, with space to grow their own food and wildlife to visit as the plants matured.
